Introduction

Big Technologies plc is committed to upholding and promoting human rights and has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not condone the use of child labour or any form of forced labour in any part of our business or supply chain.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps taken by Big Technologies plc and its subsidiaries (“the Group”) to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.

Our Business and Structure

For the purposes of this policy, references to the Big Technologies Group include all entities within the group, such as (but not limited to) Buddi Ltd, Buddi Pty Ltd, and any other current or future subsidiaries. Big Technologies plc is a UK-headquartered provider of remote monitoring technologies and services, with global operations across the justice, healthcare, and corporate sectors. The Group operates in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and other regions, employing over 320 people worldwide and delivering services in more than 13 countries.

Supply Chain

Our supply chain includes technology manufacturing, logistics, software development, and professional services. We work with third-party partners across multiple jurisdictions, some of which may present elevated risks of modern slavery due to local labour practices or regulatory environments.

We maintain long-term relationships with trusted suppliers and conduct due diligence to ensure ethical standards are upheld throughout our supply chain.

Policies and Governance

We have implemented policies that reflect our commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with applicable laws. These include:

  • Employee Code of Conduct – outlines expected standards of behaviour and includes provisions on identifying and reporting modern slavery.
  • Supplier Management – sets expectations for ethical practices, including compliance with anti-slavery laws.
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy – reinforces our zero-tolerance stance on unethical conduct.
  • Whistleblowing Policy – provides secure and anonymous channels for reporting concerns, including those related to modern slavery.

Due Diligence and Risk Management

We assess modern slavery risks as part of our supplier onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes. This includes:

  • Vetting suppliers in high-risk regions
  • Ensuring employment eligibility checks for all staff
  • Engaging only with reputable recruitment agencies

We monitor external factors such as geopolitical instability and climate-related disruptions that may impact modern slavery risks.

Training and Awareness

Training on modern slavery awareness has been arranged for employees involved in purchasing and supplier selection. All staff are kept informed of relevant laws and ethical standards through internal communications and policy updates.

Effectiveness and KPIs

To measure our effectiveness in combatting modern slavery, we track:

  • Supplier screening and onboarding
  • Frequency of audits and inspections
  • Completion of targeted training
  • Reports received and remedial actions taken

No incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking were identified during the reporting period.
